3. Waimea Bay (Pass by)

Waimea Bay sits on the legendary North Shore of Oahu, where the ocean meets the island with power and grace. In the winter, it’s a world-famous surf spot, known for massive waves and expert riders testing their limits. In the summer, the water calms to a glassy, turquoise pool perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and cliff jumping. The surrounding cliffs and golden sand give the bay a dramatic, almost sacred feeling. It's part of a larger cultural landscape, where Hawaiian history and nature still speak. Nearby, Waimea Valley offers a short hike through botanical gardens to a waterfall, adding another layer to the experience. Whether you’re drawn by the thrill or the quiet beauty, Waimea has a way of leaving a mark.

Puaʻena Point Beach Park is a laid-back spot just east of Haleʻiwa on Oʻahu’s North Shore. It’s a favorite among surf schools and beginners, thanks to its mellow waves and forgiving reef breaks . The beach is tucked behind a grove of ironwood and palm trees, offering natural shade and a quiet atmosphere. The shoreline is a mix of sand and lava rock, with tide pools along the edges. You might spot Hawaiian green sea turtles resting on the beach or grazing on the rocks . The water near shore is calm, making it easy to wade in or paddle out. If you’re looking for a relaxed beach with a local feel and a good spot to learn to surf, Puaʻena Point is worth a visit.
