Aloha Kai Luau at Sea Life Park
- 3 hours to 3 hours 45 minutes (approx.)
Overview
Aloha Kai Luau is held at Makapuʻu Meadows, an open-air lawn at Sea Life Park Hawaiʻi that overlooks the Pacific beneath the Koʻolau Mountains on Oʻahu's windward coast. The evening opens with a lei greeting and free hands-on cultural activities such as coconut leaf weaving, kupeʻe (wrist and ankle lei) making, ʻukulele and hula lessons, ʻulu maika (Hawaiian bowling) and fish-net throwing, along with demonstrations like coconut tree climbing. A highlight is the traditional imu ceremony, when kalua pork slow-cooked in an underground oven is unveiled. Dinner is an all-you-can-eat island-style buffet with kalua pork, fresh island catch, teriyaki chicken, lomi lomi salmon and poi, with vegan and gluten-free choices. The night ends with a Polynesian stage show of hula, fire-knife dancing, live music and an original theme song written for the luau. Every package includes daytime general admission to Sea Life Park around your luau date. Choose the Bronze, Silver or Gold package; each sets your seating section, lei, drinks and park pass.
